Point of view

Maya:

Music is important to many people. You can relate to songs, and they make you feel like you're not alone. Sometimes when I am sad, happy, or just bored, I listen to music and it helps me get through things! This causes healthy relationships because it is a peaceful way for people to let out their emotions. With some rappers, they have had a hard life, so instead of being aggressive, they let it out through song. This is an important way to express you feelings.

Yashica:

Music can sometimes link to your emotions and your relationships. Like your really sad that you and your friend fought, you would listen to a sad friendship song or just a sad song. It connects to your emotions and it creates a relation ship between you and that song and that song writer because they felt what you felt and it makes you feel better knowing that other people are feeling what you are feeling. Relation ships can be created threw music and more. You can make new friend ships and relation ships. Music is a wonderful thing in life and is important.

Juliane: Music has everything to do with relationships, bad and good. It always depends on the artist and song to know whether it is healthy or not. For example of a healthy song is Demi Lovato and her song Skyscraper. Her song is about being strong and standing up for yourself. It also tells you how you can get through anything if you try. This helps me bond a better relationship with myself and the artist. I think this because I will know I am not alone when I am bullied or hurt by someone. I will also be able to know that if she got passed it, so can I.

Science!!

 This is a picture of a land that once had been mined on.

When you hear the miners mine, it can turn into a song! Like for example: Each miner is using their pick in time. Another miner breaking the rock with a hammer. The cage going up and down. Like Snow White's 7 dwarfs! They sing Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go!( look at the video please) They created music to keep them busy while they're singing. A lot of things are found in mines. In Saskatchewan here, you can find potash ( used for making glass, soap,  and put in fertilizers.), Quartz  ( made into crystal ) , oil ( for gas ) and so much more! Most mines, once the miners are done there remove all their equipment and let nature take over it's land again, but it won't be the same as it was before. There are a lot of resources found in mines for Canada and the world to use! There is one in north Saskatchewan, where the miners have to fly by plane just to get there. Pollution is caused by this, and by digging in the ground we lose non-renewable resources in there. But music is every where you go. Even in the mine! Music will live forever if we just create more of it and continue to enjoy it as much as we do now.  The mine is a dangerous place to work, so miners be careful!!!

Social Studies!!

 Music can be a form of power, when you think about it. It goes under Influence, and sometimes Authority. There are three forms of power: Influence, Authority and Force. You can influence people to listen to you by music, power and given authority. Force is awful to use in less it's something every important that needs to be said and no one is listening. Music is power. The singer gets power by authority by his fans. The fans he/she gains, the more people will listen to their songs and spend more money on them and the singer achieves that. It's kind of the same with politics. They gain power by connections first, then they try to use power for people to vote for them during election making promises they probably won't keep and get enough votes to become what they are running for.

Politics are connected to music in a way we need to understand. They have their ups and downs and power. Power is a very big responsibility to take on. That's why everyone has to be careful when they have power in their hands. They can control people and take over things and do things to hurt others but if they did the media would report it and it would become front cover news on the news paper. So both politics and celebrities have to be careful when they go out in public and such. Music is a powerful weapon to use against people, and can lead to leadership on how you are to people, are you good with them? Can you attract their attention? Can peer pressure cause problems if your a leader? Who knows?

Anyways, Music can be consider as a source of power in the world of arts and the world.

Health!!

There are 5 kinds of abuse. Physical, Neglect, Variable, Sexual and Emotional. They affect people so much their health could be in risk. They could catch a deadly disease or sickness when they are hurt so badly by the ones they love. Families are supposed to be there to help you then hurt you. Even back in the 1800s Women weren't allowed to work and only stayed home into later into that century. Women where not allowed to even sing at a church choir till 1916. Otherwise they could sing at home quietly. That's kind of saying women weren't special in any way. That's bias and injustice against women and their rights! Men also have their rights too! Every human on this Earth have rights to freedom and do whatever they want. But due to tax, money and politics they have to support their family by working to earn enough to eat a meal a day. That's how the world turns people say. Music can get people in motion to work and be happy. In if it is just humming to a sad song or a happy song that can keep you threw your day. Some people perform music if they have talent to survive to live. And sometimes they become BIG stars by getting discovered by scouts to become idols or actors or singers. Then if they do, the environment they grew up in and people they lived with would be proud of that person that they could finally get money for their family or because they just are proud.  Anyways, back to the point. Music can understand what you're feeling like if your sad then you would listen to a sad song hoping for better. That's why we have social services and all that to help the needed and we should donate. To help them because we can!

My essential question!

How does Music collabrate with healthy relationships?

It collabrates with healthy relationships because within music you can feel the relation ship depending on who that person is singing to or about what. Like for example my song: Drummer Boy By Justin Bieber is a healthy relationship song because he's singing about the birth of a every special baby Jesus. He's also singing how he's also a poor boy and i'll play my drum for you as a present from him and how the new born will be the new king of Bethlehem. It also speaks of how families are in need, need help and there are people who won't care to help but we should. Especially since it's the time of giving and sharing with others and being kind and the day Jesus was born.

There are a lot of songs out there that are about heart break and sadness. Those songs are unhealthy in ways and sometimes not. Like if your feeling down then you listen to a sad song knowing that the writer of the song put their emotions into it and they're feeling sad too like you. So you feel better knowing someone else is also sad. Then you listen to a happy and energetic song if you're happy and about to burst with happiness! Songs understand our emotions depending on what song it is because the writer of that song went threw those emotions too. Songs understand what you're feeling and always will.
